India need’s more dynamic chief ministers than a dynamic prime minister.

In a latest findings of Cvoter-IANS state of the nation tracker opinion poll, K chandrasekhar Rao , popularly known as KCR,has got maximum approval rating from the voters among the chief ministers of all major states.KCR came to power in 2014 after a new state “Telangana” formed out of Andhra Pradesh, since KCR assumed office The state has shown a tremendous growth and prosperity . between 2014 and 2018 schemes such as , Rythu Bandhu, Kalyan laxmi, Shaadi Mubarak, has been praised by leaders all across, Out of all Raythu bandhu has been very effective , the Rs12000cr scheme gives farmers Rs8000 for every acre they own , scheme is said to be taken by various states and later central government also came with similar scheme “pradhanmantri  kisan sanman yogna” Telangana also among outperformer when it comes to implementing centre schemes. These attempts also shown a better result on macro parameters, the state has shown a revenue growth of 17%, the tax revenue of the state have increased at a CAGR of 25%, Rs 1.06trillion worth of new projects were announced in Telangana , in the same period of time Telangana’s share of india’s GDP grew to 4.5% in 2017-18 from 4.1% in 20014-15, These slew of welfare measures led TRS (telangana rashtra samiti) party headed by KCR an astonishing victory in 2018 state elections, TRS win with a 47 percent vote share and 88 out of 119 seats

Similarly, Mr modi built  an efficient bureaucracy and advanced factories attracting billions in investments from multinational corporations in Gujarat during his tenure between 2002-13 , what modi proved in Gujarat was that a strong leader can command change in india, but only one state at a time. In modi ‘s first-term as chief minister between 2002-2007 , Gujarat’s economy grew at nearly 12 per cent a year pace, the fastest rate ever recorded in any major Indian state , under any chief minister

As a prime minister , Modi has been unable to generate the same kind of performance for the Indian economy as a whole, it has rumbled along at a rate of 6 to 7

There are numerous examples of successful chief ministers , such as, mr. Nitish kumar  who did an economic turnaround of the Bihar through improved law and order situation, an improvement in governance has also meant better functioning welfare schemes, Bihar has cut leakages from public distribution system which comes down from 75-90% during 2000s to less than 20% in 2015-2016, A combination of political will, and empowerment on the ground, institutional reforms like issuing coupons to the beneficiaries which made embezzlement difficult for ration sellers, these measures has helped significantly in poverty reduction , it has also witnessed the second highest reduction in poverty among major states.

In the same line of development and economic prosperity we cannot forget,  mr. naidu  the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh , despite of various challenges of creating new establishment , building a new infrastructure on its own after losing hydrabad to telangana. The state has been investment magnet in the recent years , receiving highest amount of tech and infra investment , also the state has maintained a double digit growth rate.

Above mentioned are just few , our country has seen lots of exemplary chief ministers

More importantly strong centre rule is particularly ill-suited to India, where many of the 29 states see themselves almost as separate . whenever the prime minister try to centralise more power in Delhi, has Often triggered a backlash .

India is more a continent than a country its states more varied in language, culture and ethnicity than the nations of Europe. Its economy is best managed one state at a time by a democratic leader close to local condition, not by authoritarian regime at the centre.
